Backing Up a Local Database

If License Manager is connecting to a SQL Server instance on the local computer, use the License Manager Backup Database option in the settings menu to backup your License Manager database.

If License Manager is using a SQL Server instance on a remote computer, use the SQL Server facilities to backup the License Manager database.

How to back up a local database

1. Click the settings icon in the toolbar.
   
2. Click Backup Database to open the Database Backup window.
3. Click the folder icon:
   
   • In the Save As window, choose a folder to save backup file to.
   • Type a name for the backup file and click Save to return to the Database Backup window.
4. Click the Backup button.
5. Click the Close button when the backup is complete.
